The EU "Anti-piracy" Regulation also applies to counterfeit goods passing through a Member State en route to a third country

Luxembourg, 06/04/2000 (Agence Europe) - In its judgement on the 'Polo/Lauren' Case, the Court of Justice ruled that the Community's 'anti-piracy' Regulation also applies to counterfeit goods imported from a non-member country and passing through the territory of a Member State on their way to another non-member country. The Court ruled that it does not matter whether the holders of a right or those entitled under them have their registered office in a Member State or outside the Community....
