06/04/2000 (Agence Europe) - Armand De Decker, President of the Belgian Senate (and former President of the WEU Assembly) has suggested "injecting a shot of supranationality" into the CFSP by creating a "Commission" for defence issues in the areas of economics, industyl, technology and space. The Commission would be composed of the European Commissioners for these areas and would not be responsible for crisis management, which would still be dealt with by the EU Council.
