ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) cinema

The French group UGC has, through UGC BELGIUM, taken over the Belgian subsidiary of its compatriot GAUMONT, for some BEF 1 bn. This subsidiary runs a complex of 17 cinemas in the Belgian city of Antwerp. Through this operation, UGC is counting on 6 million spectators a year.
