ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) automobile

The Czech Government has given the go-ahead for the opening of official negotiations on possibly selling to the German VOLKSWAGEN the remaining 30% shares in the automobile manufacturer SKODA AUTO still in the State's hands. The price for this stake could amount to up to 340 million euro. The German group had already proposed buying this stake in October. See EI of 6 October.
