Brussels, 06/04/2000 (Agence Europe) - The Transatlantic Consumer Dialogue (TACD) is calling for a strengthening of the protection granted to citizens by the provisional agreement on the trade in personal files ("Safe harbour"), concluded last 15 March between the EU and the United States. The American system will not provide the European citizens with a sufficient level of protection that is guaranteed them by European law and, more specifically, by the Directive on the protection of data,...
