Brussels, 06/04/2000 (Agence Europe) - The President of the European People's Party, Wilfried Marten, announced to journalists on Thursday that the EPP's Cabinet had unanimously decided to end the "exclusion procedure" which had been operating against the ÖVP since February (after Jörg Haider's FPÖ joined the Austrian government), and to replace it with an "observation procedure" for the party of the Austrian Chancellor, Wolfgang Schüssel.
