Brussels, 14/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - The US Commerce Secretary David Aaron has confirmed that the United States will be formally requesting on Tuesday the opening of proceedings against the European Union in the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) over the regulation banning the registration in Europe of hushkit-fitted aircraft. Once initiated, this procedure gives the EU 90 days to respond. The ICAO can then ask the parties to engage in further dialogue, serve as a mediator...
