ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) seafood

The Norwegian group NORSK HYDRO (salmon) intends to sell HYDRO SEAFOOD AS (turnover 2.2 billion Norwegian crowns in 1999 with 1,500 employed), its seafood division, to Dutch NUTRECO HOLDING. The seafood activities of NUTRECO made a turnover of $670 million in 1999. Specialists evaluate the operation at around EUR 420 million.
