President Prodi and Commissioners Nielson, Patten and Lamy will represent Commission at Africa-Europe Summit on 3 and 4 April in Cairo - Programme of work

Brussels, 14/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - The college of Commissioners was informed on Tuesday in Strasbourg of the aims and of the programme of the first Europe-Africa summit to be held on Monday 3 and Tuesday 4 April in Cairo (Egypt) under the aegis of the Organisation of African Unity (OAU) and the European Union (see EUROPE of 10 March, p.6). and will be preceded, on Sunday 2 April, by a meeting at foreign minister level.
