Commission authorises acquisition of Bosch (Stuttgart) activity linked to public network by Marconi (London)

Brussels, 20/01/2000 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday, the Commission approved the acquisition by Marconi plc of control of Robert Bosch Gmbh activities concerning telecommunications equipment intended for the public network.

Marconi, the former General Electric Company, is a major international group which focuses on strong growth markets in the communications sector. It will gain access to radio technology and will improve its position in Europe. The Commission has approved the operation...
