Brussels, 20/01/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has authorised:
a) Spanish national aid to fishing vessel owners and fishermen affected by the expiry of the EU/Morocco fisheries agreement;
b) parallel Community aid, available beginning this month.
The aid is being granted for a period of six months, unless new arrangements are concluded in the meantime making possible the resumption of fishing in Moroccan waters. The total amount approved by the Commission is over EUR 60...
