Strasbourg, 20/01/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament's annual debate on the European Union's actions regarding justice and home affairs, which was held Wednesday afternoon, had a somewhat different tone to previous years: indeed, both the Council and Commission and most MEPs were able this time to refer to the qualitative leap in this field, especially following the extraordinary summit in Tampere last October.
