ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) brokerage

South African financial services group OLD MUTUAL has made a friendly bid of £525 million (670 pence per share) on British GERRARD GROUP, specialised in brokerage and fund management. The aim of OLD MUTUAL is to merge its share brokerage and private fund management CAPEL CURE SHARP subsidiary with GREIG MIDDLETON, a GERRARD subsidiary. Together this will total £27 billion in management funds.
