ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) banks

The American BANCWEST CORPORATION, 45% owned by the French banking group BNP-PARIBAS, has bought 68 agencies in the states of Utah and Idaho from ZIONS BANCORPORATION and FIRST SECURITY CORPORATION, thus boosting its network of agencies by 25%. The agencies acquired represent USD 2.1 billion in deposits and USD 600 million in outstanding loans.
