20/01/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has approved aid of DM 59 million (EUR 30 million) paid by Germany to Bau Union Ost, a group of construction companies based in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany (Hegemann group). The aid will finance a restructuring plan comprising a 50% reduction in personnel, the sale of regional branches and of one major subsidiary.
