Portuguese Presidency proposes introducing notion of "legislative acts" and questions Member States on method to follow to maintain a ceiling of 700 MEPs

Brussels, 18/05/2000 (Agence Europe) - At its meeting this week, the Seixas da Costa Group, which is preparing the IGC, examined the amendments that, during the review of the present treaty, could prove necessary regarding EU institutions (other than the Commission and the Council).
