SAIRGROUP, the parent company of SWISSAIR, is studying a merger plan with the three French airline companies AOM, AIR LIBERTE and AIR LITTORAL, which it controls. These three companies represent 30% of the French market shares for an aggregate turnover of EUR 1.51 billion and 8.8 million in passengers carried in 1999.
