Brussels, 18/05/2000 (Agence Europe) - In conclusions adopted on Thursday, the Industry Council asked the European Commission to submit a report in September on implementing the memorandum of understanding on shipbuilding, by which South Korea undertakes to put its house in order regarding prices and production capacity. In the light of that report, the EU will assess the appropriateness of taking commercial retaliation measures against Korean dumping practices.
