18/05/2000 (Agence Europe) - The Amato government is now complete, following the appointment this week of Gianni Mattioli (Greens) as Minister of Community Policies. It will be recalled that another Green, Edo Ronchi, first chosen to serve as Minister for European Affairs, resigned in protest of the fact that the Greens had not been given the Environment Minister's post (though an ecologist, Alfonso Pecoraro Scanio, was named Agriculture Minister).
