Mission of the Socialist Group in Tunis in anticipation of a debate in Strasbourg

Strasbourg, 18/05/2000 (Agence Europe) - The Socialist Group has announced that it was sending a fact-finding mission to Tunis this weekend, made up of the vice-presidents Pierre Schori, for foreign affairs, and Pasqualina Napoletano, responsible for the "Mediterranean issue". The Group's President, Mr. Enrique Baron, considered Tunisia to be held by Article 2 of the Association Agreement to respect democratic rights and freedoms and said that his group was considering raising questions on...
