Shipowner LDA - LOUIS DREYFUS ARMATEURS (annual turnover around EUR 600 million with forty ships) and the telecommunications equipment provider ALCATEL have announced the creation of a joint undertaking responsible for managing vessels for the installation of submarine cables in the Atlantic and Pacific. It will be held at 51% by ALCATEL and at 49% by LDA. The total amount of the investment is by way of $90 million.
