The Californian groups QUICKSILVER and GOTCHA, specialised in surfwear, have joined forces in Europe. The Basque company NAPALI (turnover FF 930 million in 1999 with 500 employed), a subsidiary of QUICKSILVER, has acquired the French company FREESTYLE (annual turnover FF 70 million), which operates under the GOTCHA license for Europe.
