Bureau meets in Coimbra

Brussels, 18/05/2000 (Agence Europe) - The Bureau of the Committee of the Regions is meeting on Friday 19 May in Coimbra; it will be electing a new Secretary General (from among 29 candidates, for a five-year term of office) and approving the operational programme and the research programme for 2000-2001.

The Bureau of the Committee of the Regions will take advantage of this meeting, being held, as usual, in the country holding the EU Council Presidency, to discuss with the Portuguese...
