Taxation of digital giants - European Parliament is divided between multilateral solution and tax justice

At its plenary session in Strasbourg, on Thursday 11 September, the European Parliament was divided over the approach to take to US President, Donald Trump, on the taxation of digital giants. While the right wing of the Chamber supported the idea of a multilateral solution to avoid penalising the European economy, the left wing insisted on the need for tax justice.
