Commission pursues proceedings against five Member States not complying with directive on environmental impact assessment of certain projects

Brussels, 25/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The Commission has decided to pursue infringement proceedings against five Member States - Spain, Greece, Luxembourg, Belgium and Portugal - which are still failing to comply fully with the directive on environmental impact assessments of certain public and private projects (Directive 95/337/EEC, amended by Directive 97/11/EEC).
