Brussels, 25/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - European Commissioner for Trade, Pascal Lamy, has expressed the Commission's concerns to US Trade Representative Charlene Bazrshefsky about the proposal being debated by the United States Senate to limit telecommunications operators' access to the American market (see yesterday's EUROPE, page 13). The Commission is of the view that the provisions being examined are incompatible with the WTO agreement on telecommunications.
