Cairo, 25/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - Egypt formally approved the final compromises from the negotiations on the Euro-Mediterranean association agreement with the EU. The Egyptian Council of Ministers gave the "green light" to the paragraph of the agreement, thus putting an end to the long internal talks on the opportunity and scope of the concessions made to the EU. The two parties must now sign the agreement and launch the ratification procedures.
