Global loan of EUR 100 million to Banco BPI group

Luxembourg, 25/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank is granting a global loan of EUR 100 million (20 billion Escudos) to the Banco BPI group, to support small and medium sized investments in Portugal and in other European countries. Banoc BPI reallocate this loan for investments made by SMEs to improve their competitiveness, or by municipalities or public-private partners to modernise local infrastructure, indicates the EIB in its press release.
