- China: Direct foreign investments in China have fallen 7.5% over the first six months of 2000, in comparison with the same period last year. Recurrent problems such as contradictory regulations, complicated examination procedures and other barriers to investments explain these bad results, underlined Mr. Ma Yu, from the China Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation.
