ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) insurance banking

In order to finance its development in telecommunications, the French industrial group SLE - SUEZ LYONNAISE DES EAUX and its Belgian subsidiary SGB - SOCIETE GENERALE DE BELGIQUE entrusted to the Swiss financial institution UBS WARBURG the care of replacing with interested investors a maximum of 4.7% of the capital of the Belgian-Dutch financial services group FORTIS, of which SLE today holds nearly 20%.
