Swedish AKZO NOBEL will buy the American activity of the "animal vaccine" division ($50 million in turnover for 1999) of German BAYER. Thanks to this acquisition, INTERVET (veterinary subsidiary of AKZO NOBEL) is to become the third largest company in the world on the animal health market.
