The shareholders of British operator CABLE & WIRELESS have approved the transfer of control of its Hong Kong subsidiary HKT to PCCW - PACIFIC CENTURY CYBERWORKS. The latter has undertaken to pay in cash and in shares a total of $38 billion to control most of HKT capital.
