Brussels, 15/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - The Fisheries Council will be meeting on Friday in Luxembourg, with Portuguese Minister Luis Capoulas Santos in the Chair. The goal for this sitting is adoption of the regulation establishing a common framework for the collection of fisheries statistics needed for the pursuit of the common fisheries policy, along with a decision on the Community's financial participation in this system, which will be implemented by the Member States.
