Commission authorises Telenor Media and Viag Interkom to create a joint venture in telephone directory services

Brussels, 15/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission authorised Viag Interkom (controlled by the Viag, British Telecom and Telenor groups) and Telenor Media (Telenor group), to create a joint venture for directory assistance in Germany. The company will provide through a telephone directory call centre freely accessible in Germany (telephone numbers, names and addresses, e-mail addresses) as well as direct connections to the numbers requested.
