European Parliament confirms call for new European directive governing algorithmic management in workplace

On Wednesday 17 December, the European Parliament adopted by 451 votes to 45, with 153 abstentions, the report entitled ‘Digitalisation, artificial intelligence and algorithmic management in the workplace – shaping the future of work’, which calls on the European Commission to present European legislation on artificial intelligence and algorithmic control at work applicable to all workers.
