17/12/2025 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission announced, on Monday 15 December, the publication of a report drawn up by culture and environment experts from EU countries on the role of the cultural and creative sectors in the green transition. The document lists existing greening practices in the arts and culture, including energy saving, climate adaptation strategies, the circular economy and sustainable mobility. The cultural sectors are also seen as “drivers of systemic change”, which could influence behaviour through storytelling, imagination and creation. The report therefore calls on the public authorities to support this dynamic with appropriate guidelines, funding and regulatory frameworks. In addition, it makes a number of recommendations for better integrating culture into European and national climate policies. To see the report: https://aeur.eu/f/k1o (NP)
