European leaders expected to call for implementation of UN resolution supporting end to conflict in Gaza

Although European leaders are not due to discuss the issue at length at their European Council meeting on Thursday 18 and Friday 19 December, in their conclusions, a draft of which Agence Europe obtained on 16 December, they call on all parties to implement United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803, supporting the comprehensive plan to end the conflict in Gaza “in its entirety, and in line with relevant international political and legal principles”.
