17/12/2025 (Agence Europe) – In November, the annual inflation rate stood at 2.1% in the euro area - stable compared with October - according to data published by the statistical office of the European Union (Eurostat) on Wednesday 17 December. For the EU as a whole, inflation was 2.4% in November, compared with 2.5% in October. The lowest annual rates were observed in Cyprus (0.1%), France (0.8%) and Italy (1.1%). The highest figures were recorded in Romania (8.6%), Estonia (4.7%) and Croatia (4.3%). Inflation was sustained in Germany (2.6%) and vigorous in Spain (3.2%). The strongest contributions to the euro area’s annual inflation rate came from services (+1.58 percentage points, pp), followed by food, alcohol and tobacco (+0.46 pp), industrial goods excluding energy (+0.14 pp) and energy (-0.04 pp).
