Hungary blocks EU Council conclusions on affordable housing

19/11/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 19 November, Hungary blocked the EU Council’s conclusions on the future European plan for affordable housing. Unanimity is required to approve the conclusions. The Danish Presidency of the Council of the EU is now expected to seek the support of the Employment and Social Affairs Ministers meeting in Brussels on 1 December.
