EU Council ready to make certain concessions on ‘End-of-Life Vehicles’ regulation, with a view to negotiations with European Parliament

On Wednesday 19 November, the Danish Presidency of the Council of the EU obtained an amended mandate for the second session of interinstitutional negotiations on the ‘End-of-life Vehicles’ regulation, to be held on Monday 24 November.

The Member States have authorised it to respond partially to the European Parliament on the scope, withdrawal of components and quality requirements for shredder residues, as well as the introduction of the concept of “market potential”.
