Electricity networks - European Commission fine-tuning new approaches to get rid of ‘first come, first served’ principle

The European Commission intends to do away with the ‘first come, first served’ principle that prevails for connecting new projects to the electricity grid. These are the findings of a provisional version of a recommendation that will be attached to the European ‘networks’ package on 10 December.
