European Commission pressured to agree to postponement of application of certain essential obligations of AI Act

Anxious not to give the impression of unravelling its flagship legislation on artificial intelligence, the European Commission insisted that the adjustments presented in its omnibus legislation simplifying the regulation on artificial intelligence (AI Act) on Wednesday 19 November should be seen as minor modifications, and not as clear step backwards in its implementation.
