08/10/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 6 October, the European Commission published in the Official Journal of the EU the list of legislative proposals it has withdrawn, in line with its 2025 work programme (see EUROPE 13578/2). These include a 2022 proposal to introduce extra-contractual civil liability in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) (see EUROPE 13578/12) and a 2021 proposal for a regulation to deal with instrumentalisation in the field of migration and asylum. However, the proposal for a directive on the implementation of the principle of equal treatment between persons irrespective of religion or belief, disability, age or sexual orientation has not been withdrawn.
