EU Council ready to negotiate with European Parliament on modifying EU financial instruments to accelerate defence-related investment

On Wednesday 8 October, the ambassadors of the Member States to the European Union (Coreper) reached a political agreement in principle on the ‘mini-omnibus’ legislative package making targeted changes to several EU instruments (STEP, EDF, ASAP, CEF) to facilitate investment projects aimed at strengthening the European defence industry (see EUROPE B13625A2).
