Between accusations of censorship and strategic autonomy, European Parliament is divided over EU’s digital sovereignty

The debate on European sovereignty and digital legislation at the European Parliament in Strasbourg on Wednesday 8 October saw the groups on the left and right of the Chamber clash on the subject of freedom of expression and foreign interference, under the gaze of the European Commissioner for Technological Sovereignty, Henna Virkkunen, who promoted the Commission’s implementation of the flagship legislation which are the ‘DSA’ and ‘DMA’ Regulations.
