European Parliament advocates strengthening relations between EU and Latin America, but is more ambiguous on trade agreement with Mercosur countries

On Wednesday 8 October, the European Parliament adopted by a large majority (354 votes in favour, 195 against, 77 abstentions) the draft report by Davor Ivo Stier (EPP, Croatian) on the European Union’s political strategy on Latin America, virtually unchanged (see EUROPE B13715A17).
