02/06/2023 (Agence Europe) – As part of the fight against rare diseases, the ‘All United for MG’ coalition organised, on Friday 2 June, a ‘European Day’ to raise awareness of autoimmune myasthenia gravis. The aim is to raise awareness of this rare autoimmune neuromuscular disease and its consequences for patients and their carers. The disease has a considerable impact on patients’ social, professional and family lives. ‘All United for MG’ is launching a call for action, accompanied by six concrete recommendations. The disease affects between 56,000 and 100,000 people in Europe. By highlighting the difficulties faced by people with this disease, “we can work towards improving the care they need”, said MEP István Ujhelyi (S&D, Hungarian), who attended the event.
