Spanish Presidency of EU Council should reduce regulatory burdens for businesses, according to BusinessEurope

02/06/2023 (Agence Europe)EU business representative BusinessEurope presented, on Thursday 1 June, its priorities to the incoming Spanish Presidency of the EU Council. For the organisation, it is crucial that the Spanish work to give “breathing space” to European companies when it comes to regulatory matters. According to BusinessEurope, this means, for example, reducing the information obligations to which companies are subject, and which are piling up. The representative is also asking the Spanish Presidency to broaden the scope of the Net-Zero Industry Act so that it respects the principle of “tech neutrality”. Other recommendations for strengthening the internal market, guaranteeing energy supplies and opening up new external markets are also set out. To see the priorities: https://aeur.eu/f/77g (LM)
