The Spanish banking group BSCH - BANCO SANTANDER CENTRAL HISPANO announced the merger of its banking insurance activities with those of the American METLIFE and the Italian GENERALI. The new entity will be 60% held by BSCH and 20% by both METLIFE and GENERALI. Named SANTANDER CENTRAL HISPANO SEGUROS, the new company will include the GEENISIS portfolio (80% held by METLIFE and 20% by BSCH) and all the portfolios BELONGING to BCH VIDA BCH SEGURO GENERALES and SANTANDER SEGUROS.
