French Presidency informs Council of its intentions regarding work to be carried out with a view to Biarritz and Nice Summits

Brussels, 11/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The General Affairs Council (GAC), which met on Monday, was briefed by French Foreign Minister Hubert Védrine on the French Presidency's intentions regarding work to be carried out following the European Council of Feira. The work can be divided into two main categories:

1. European Security and Defence Policy (ESDP). In the prospect of the Nice Summit, the Presidency - which gives top priority to ESDP - will, with the assistance of the Secretary...
